Preview and team news:
-Chelsea
●We have had a bright recent performance against Tottenham in a game at which the scoreline didn't reflect the deserved outcome. The Chelsea team which was just not getting a break from anything suddenly burst into life and played against an equally equipped Tottenham side, making it one of the best games of the season, However it still didn't help us in our struggle to get back into form. We are still the 16th best team (form wise) on the table with only Newcastle, WHU, Everton and Fulham below us. Chelsea have drawn their last three Premier League games, for the first time since the end of the 2006-07 season when they drew their last five and anything less than a win against the scums would make it very hard for us to stay in the title race.Another plus point for the blues is their home record and shockingly their defensive record which is still one of the best in the League. This game is ours to lose now and its all in our hands. Carlo Ancelotti has also made a statement saying " I am not leaving the club, at least till 2012" knowing him, it could even be a 2012 joke.
●Chelsea could start with Frank Lampard for the first time since August when he missed a penalty against Stoke in a 2-0 home win. Jose Bosingwa undergoes a test but Alex and Yossi Benayoun remain in the treatment room. What most of the people don't realize is the extent of Yuri Zhirkov's injury. The Russian has been under treatment and the medical staff have given no particular return date for him and in the presence of Lampard, he could have played an important part for the team.
United
●United set a club record best unbeaten start to a season on Monday when they beat Arsenal 1-0 at Old Trafford. That was their 16th game without loss, the second best start in the Premier League history with only Arsenal, who went the entire 2003-4 season without loss. They are currently on top of the form table.Including last season, United are unbeaten in 21 Premier League games going back to April – when they were beaten 2-1 at home by the great Chelsea Football Club . United have not lost away since February, at Everton, a run of 12 games but even their plastic fans know who could smash all these records in seconds.
●United are doubtful over Paul Scholes, but Owen Hargreaves, Michael Owen and Antonio Valencia are still missing from the lineup with long term injuries. This however does not mean that their starting 11 are any better than ours.
