Chelsea FC vs Birmingham City - EPL - 20/11/2010 : Match Preview

St Andrews Stadium ,15:00 local time.

Preview and team news:

Chelsea
Chelsea are still at the top of the table with a 2 points lead however , the 3-0 defeat against Sunderland and the recent off field injuries and happenings have reignited the end of the year curse for the blues. We are now the 7th best team (form wise) in the premiership , having won only 3 of our last 6 games and losing 2 of them.

Terry, Alex and Lampard are three crucial players missing for this match. We have had shock after shock of major injuries which has dampened many hopes. Our Defense is at its weakest form right now with only Ivanovic available as a decent CB. The youngster Bruma is being favored to start , especially after the falling apart of the defense against Sunderland.
Ancelotti has said that the current run in form has nothing to do with Wilkins sudden departure from the club but it will all be clear after this match , what the real problem is/was.

Birmingham City
Meanwhile Birmingham city are in a dilemma all of their own. They have only won a single game from their last 6, drawing 3 and losing 2.They are sitting on the 18th spot, are in the relegation zone , with even their home form a bit shaky. At home they have only managed to get 9 points from 6 games, with the away form being even worse. However they have only lost once at home , which shows how hard it is to come away with 3 points at St Andrews, although they barely get all three points.
Taylor and McFadden miss out on this one. Both are very important players for Birmingham and this is a little helping hand that we have. They have been inconsistent and to get back to our top form, we need to play this one full throttle all the way through.
